Music Time

Today was definately a good day! We started out with a little rain, but the sun peeked through and is still shining! Sadly, it won't last, but I enjoyed it while it was here. Anyways, last Saturday Kurt, Logan, and I ventured out to our local library to sign up for library cards. We came home with our cards and a nice stack of books for Logan to read. His favorite so far is "My Bear and Me", it's an ok book, my guess is he loves it because the bear in the book looks like his Mr. Bear.

I also inquired about the toddler music time I saw on their monthly calendar. They said it was a free drop-in class. Luckily, it was on the schedule for this morning! After I distracted Logan from the toys in the children's book area, we ended into the class. One of the children's librarians plays the guitar. So it's pretty much a 30 minute sing-a-long with kids ranging from 12 months-5 years, although I think most of the kids were 2-3. The librarian also has a table set out of children's book that correspond to the songs he's selected. I think we'll definately start attending on a regular basis. One funny thing to note-I think Logan was the only blonde hair, blue eyed kid in the bunch. I often forget how diverse the city is I live in.
