my little BOY

Logan is at such a fun age right now! Words can not express how much I love him and how much fun he is to hang out with!!! I am so priveleged to spend my days with him. While he is definately a daddy's boy...I hope to think he has a special place in his heart for me. :) It's hard for me to understand why any mom would CHOOSE to work at least while her little ones are young. (If you have to that is another story...but I have worked with ladies in the past who didn't know what they would do if they were to spend all day at home with their kids.)

Side note: As I type he is chasing the dog around on his firetruck in his PJs.

If you haven't met Logan, I hope you will some day...he truly he is a wonderful little boy. I could not have asked for an easier child. One of his favorite things to do is to point to something and ask, "What's That?" We tell him what it is and he tries to repeat it. Several of the words have stuck, at least to a point where we can understand him. His newest word is "Rock" or "Rocky" (He was outside with his dad at the time).

Since he was 6 months or so we've tried to teach him some sign language so that he could better communicate with us. He uses 5-6 signs pretty regularly, and Kurt is working on a few more. However through his signs he has showed me he has a pretty good sense of humor. It was around lunch time one day and he started to sign "go bath". When I told him it wasn't bathtime...he gave me a smile like "I know silly" along with a little chuckle.

We'll I probably should go but I wanted to share one more quick little story from last weekend. My friend Ricelli who is from Brazil invited Kurt, Logan, and I to go to a Brazilian restaurant in San Bruno last Saturday. We were enjoying our lunch, and then Logan starting pointing to something on the table. I finally figured out he was pointing to the lemon in my water. Although I didn't think he'd like it...I figured it wouldn't hurt him, so I gave it to him. He started chewing and sucking on it, and it didn't phase him! No sour faces...no disgusted looks... We took a picture as proof that it happened.

When Myra was about 6 months old, we gave her a lemon (I know - aren't we great parents?) We thought her reaction would be funny, but no, she loved it. And even today, she begs for lemons - if they are around - and we have to stop her from eating the rinds. Kids are so funny!
