As was to be expected President Monson was named as prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints today, after the passing of President Hinckley last weekend. I also am really excited that Dieter F. Uchtdorf, was named as his 2nd Counselor. I love President Uchtdorf and the stories he shares. I looked forward to hearing and learning more from him in the coming years. Our Stake Conference will be held this Saturday and Sunday. I look forward to sustaining these men (along with President Eyring...don't want to forget him!) as the new First Presidency.
