Today we planned a fun day at Tilden Park with some of Kurt's old college friends. Berkeley was the perfect central location! Kurt, Ryan, and Bryan all lived together in Deseret Towers during their freshman year at BYU. Ryan is currently on a break from his job at Intel while serving in the Air National Guard. And Bryan is working on his phD at UC Berkeley. Did I mention Kurt lived on the Honors floor at BYU? He roomed next to some smart cookies!
We decided to first meet up at the Little Farm. Logan was ESPECIALLY exciting because they had cows! After all he is our Future FFA member.
This kid has no fear! We let him wander around to see all of his favorite animals. If he couldn't get a close enough look he THEN asked for our help. He was braver than a lot of the older kids around.
The cows, goats, and ducks were his favorite.

After the animals we took a break for a picnic lunch and took catch up on old times. It was fun to get together and meet each others kids, etc. I think the guys figured out the last time they were all together was when we got together at the Nordstroms house in Provo. Bryan was a newlywed (he now has 2 kids), Kurt & I had been married a couple years, and I don't think Ryan had met Erika yet.

After lunch we said goodbye to the Catanzaro clan and took a trip over to the Steam Engines.

For only $2/person we rode the best little steam engine I've ever been on! I'm not sure how excited the tired little boys were, but us adults thought it was pretty cool!
