My Molly Martha Mormon Moment

This last week has been a very busy one for me...thus the reason for the lack of posts. On the particular day pictured above (last Tuesday) I was feeling very domestic. As noted in the previous post, we ventured to Brentwood last weekend to buy some corn and peaches (we won't go into too much detail about the peaches, because they ended up being too horrible to can!...Kurt is still upset). So I spent my Tuesday morning blanching 40+ ears of corns, cutting off the kernels and stuffing them in plastic ziploc bags to put in the freezer. FYI- For those wondering why in the world we do this....frozen corn tastes WAY better than canned corn. I did not know this until I married into the Keyser family. Kurt's parents still plant rows and rows and rows of corn to freeze for the rest of the year.

In additon to my corn, note the Kitchen Aid in the corner...I was multitasking. While waiting for corn to finish boiling I was baking chocolate chip cookies to take to my friend Shannon and her family. They just had an adorable baby boy and I was scheduled to take them dinner.

(You can also note my husband's organically grown in our own garden tomatoes. He has done wonders with the free starter plant I received in Relief Society one Sunday.)

Lastly, before you think I am some amazing person, note the title of this blog... " My Molly Martha Mormon MOMENT". Sadly, these days rarely happen. Although I am happy to report I also was able to be visit taught by my new Visiting Teacher and visit (or drop off some goodies) to 3 ladies I visit teach AND take another meal to one of those ladies since she had a baby this week too! AND catch up on some other neglected items for my Primary calling...and take Logan to the park twice. :)
