Kurt, Logan, and I are sick again...so I haven't been motivated to go out anywhere the past couple days, but when I heard the weather forecast this morning, I have to admit I was kind of depressed. I was hoping for another warm day at the park.
Around lunchtime I started brainstorming different ideas of things Logan and I could go do...even if it's raining. I thought, maybe we'd have lunch at McDonald's one day and let Logan play in the play structure? Then I realized that is probably just a good short term solution. Logan is still on the skinny side, but we don't want him to have a heart attack at age 2. Then I thought of...THE LIBRARY! Logan LOVES books. That is an understatement actually. Every day our house looks like a tornado flew though the library. I soon remembered that the city library is right next to our church. I haven't ventured there myself because I still have a stack of books I need to read that I OWN!
Anyways, I found a calendar events at our local library. They have so many fun activities for kids! Music Time for Toddlers, Baby Time Program, and PreSchool Storytime! I'm so excited! I already printed out the form to apply for a library card.
Does anyone else have any other favorite rainy day activities?
P.S. Thank you to Kathryn, my wonderful cousin, for making Kurt, Logan, and I are our beautiful blankets. They're perfect for cuddling on the couch (or a school bus) on a rainy sick day.

I feel your pain. It's been so cold here. Many days we barely climb above 30. So ideas, you can get waxed paper and get crayon shavings and iron them in between two sheets and make cool looking stain glass art. We like to make a tent sometimes too. It makes a mess but the girls love it. You could get old socks and make hand puppets. These are all assuming you don't want to go out. Good luck!
