In Utah, safe and sound

Just thought I'd let everyone know we made it to Utah safe and sound. After we landed in Salt Lake I heard a flight attendant announce that a flight was delayed coming out of San Francisco...so it sounded like we barely missed the storm. Our friend (thanks Alyse!) dropped us off at the airport yesterday afternoon and we were on our way. Logan LOVED seeing all of the airplanes. Our flight was pretty light, so we were able to get a row to ourselves. Logan starred out the window and kept oooing and ahhhing. It was really cute! We ended landing about 10 minutes early and were greated my Kurt's parents and then rushed over to the Salt Lake Temple. We were able to go through an endowment session with Craig, Nancy, and Nick. The session was SOOO full. They had to keep bringing in more and more chairs. It was such a need experience to attend the temple with Nick. We look forward when the entire family will be able to attend together. Who knows, it might be Nick's wedding! Jason & Jeanette (and later Ryan & Shelley) watched Logan for us. We are so grateful for their service! It has been a challenge to go to the temple since having Logan. After our session ended, we went to dinner at a family favorite--WINGERS! mmmm I order my deluxe chicken sandwich and of course Kurt had his wing dinner.

Today was Nick's "farewell" and it was a packed house! Both of Kurt's parents come from big families so we were surrounded by lots of family. Nick's talk was awesome despite the nasty cold he's been fighting off. Kurt's cousin-in-law, her sister and Nancy (Kurt's mom) performed a beautiful musical number (Joseph Smith's First Prayer on piano, violin, and viola).

Afterwards there was a huge party at the Keyser house, EASILY over 60 people. It was fun to get to see lots of friends and family and spend time visiting.

As far as plans for the rest of the week, Monday-Wednesday is probaby family time. Nick enters the MTC on Wednesday at noon. Kurt and I will need to sit down tonight and make plans.

I have to say that I am a bit jealous. It's been a while since we set foot in Utah. 1 year and two months. We love Nashville, but I do miss being able to go home now and then. Have fun.

Welcome to Utah! If I make it down south this weekend I will let you know, but the likelyhood is dim.
