Dear Nagoya Returned Missionaries:
It has been a long time, but we are having a reunion again. It will be on Friday, April 4, 2008. Details are below. We hope to see as many of you who can at that time. Japan continues to be an exciting and wonderful place for missionaries and members. I can hardly believe that it has been 10 years since we arrived in Nagoya. If you know someone from the mission who doesn't know about this reunion, please pass this on to. We would love to see as many as we can. Also, we know that many of these email addresses are not current. Please sent this on to the correct address of companions and others that you may have.
In order to gain some idea of how many will be coming, if possible, please rsvp to either Sister Evans (marysevans at yahoo dot com), or to Elder Joel Jenkins at wheezy at unculturedswine dot net (don't ask me where he got this email address from).
Some small updates from us:
Amy is married and has 2 children with 1 more on the way. She lives in Texas.
Jill is a Junior at the University of Utah.
Mike is serving as a missionary in the Tokyo Mission. It is unbelievable how quickly the time goes!
Jeff is a Junior in High School here in Tokyo. His plan is to graduate in December and leave next spring or summer for the mission field.
Sister Evans and I are 10 years older, but loving what we are doing and so very grateful to be in the Lord's service.
Here are the details:

Dear Elders and Sisters,
Over recent years, many of you have asked for a reunion, and we have not been able to have one because of unpredictable Conference travel and other reasons. However, this year, I am pleased to let you know that we will be having a reunion on April 4, 2008, starting at 7 p.m. Sister Evans and I will be there and we hope that you will be also. Format will be the same as in years past with a chapel session starting at 7 p.m., followed by a light dinner and visiting. Bring your spouse, your friend, your children or just yourself. All are welcome.
Elder Joel Jenkins has offered to do much of the work on this. I am confident that he would welcome any help that you can offer. He can be reached at wheezy at unculturedswine dot net. You may also contact Elder Jenkins with any questions, needs, etc.
We love you and are grateful for you and your lives. Japan and missionary work has been a wonderful part of each of our lives. Come and together let us feel that Spirit again on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 7 p.m. in Alpine, Utah.
With love
President and Sister Evans

That's nice that your Pres. lives in the states!
Are you coming out?
I don't think I can go - and we haven't actually had a reunion for 7 or 8 years. Pres. Evans was called the the Seventy not long after his release and I think he's been in East Asia ever since, mainly in Japan.
Hey Elder Keyser, a.k.a., Ryan,
It has been a while since the mission, huh. I feel so bad that I can't make it this time, but maybe next. We are, ironically in Japan right now, and will be until the end of the semester, April 30th. I am finishing law school and am currently doing an externship here at a law firm just 5 minutes from the Tokyo Temple.
We get to got to chruch every week with President Evans, Sister Evans and Jeff, but we hardly ever see President Evans. He usually is visiting other stakes and wards in the area. I think he has been to our word (his ward) two ro three times since we have been here.
We need to get together with Andy Lange and Ryan Taylor sometime. I hear Ryan is starting his practice in Heber Valley. You are in California I assume, but maybe when you come to visit we can get together.
Tell everyone at the reunion I said hi. It was good to find your blog. Talk to you later.

Hey Kurt, I just stumbled on your site when I was looking for mission reunion info. My baby is crawling all over me, so I've gotta go, but I hope you and your family are doing well!
