Cultural Conundrums

Some words have become linguistically and culturally charged as of late. For instance, "If I'm Christian, you're Jewish. If I'm a Christian, you're a _____". Can anyone fill this in for me without offending my Jewish friends? I once heard a great Jewish comedian put it this way, "Whoa, whoa, whoa there buddy! That's offensive! I'm not a Jew, I'm Jewish" as he held out his hand and tilted it from side to side implying that he was only "sort of" - a play on the "ish" ending. It was hilarious.

Also, to all my Asian and Latino friends out there, I love you dearly and you are all great people, but you are not Black. The hip-hop/urban thing just doesn't fit... It's like a tall, overweight White chick in a Kimono - it's just wrong. Again, I say this with all the tolerance I have to give; it just isn't the same.

My $.02 since Nick (Elder Keyser) isn't around to say it.
