Kurt's 29th Birthday Celebrations

Kurt's parents came to visit this week to help us celebrate his birthday and spend time with a certain 19-month old little one who lives in our house. Friday night Kurt wanted to go to Fuki Sushi in Palo Alto. It's an amazing Japanese restaurant that he usually only gets to eat at when it's on the company credit card. Personally, I recommend the Teriyaki Beef...but Kurt might have a few other recommendations for you.

Logan discovered chopsticks at the end of the meal. Despite stabbing Grandpa in the eye a couple times, he did pretty well!
After dinner we came home stuffed and then it was present time. Kurt received a Magic Bullet from his parents. Sadly a few nights before our little Rocket died while he was making us strawberry lemon smoothies. I outfitted him with a few much needed items for our Hawaii trip, a 4GB Compact Flash card for his camera, and some new church socks and white shirt. I also made some Blueberry Cherrie-O Pie, but we decided to save it for last night since we were so full.

Saturday was Kurt's actual birthday and it was our big day at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom! We had a lot of fun and the weather was perfect--upper 70's, maybe 80. More pictures to come in a later blog!

Happy Birthday, Kurt! Looks like it was a fun one.

Rachel, I'm totally with ya on the teriyaki -- stick to the cooked stuff :)
