Random Thoughts...

I feel like I've been in La-La Land for the past couple weeks...I'm blaming it on the pregnancy. :) My house has been a disaster and I'm finally trying to get around to cleaning today. I've been doing pretty well this morning, but I'm fading fast. I think it's about nap time.

I still have Nick's birthday present sitting on my desk collecting dust and his birthday is on Thursday. But he's a missionary, so he'll just be grateful for a package right? I also just found a thank-you card I thought I mailed over a week ago. oops...I'm not doing so well! Kurt asked me last night if I could have anything in the world, what would I want? Excluding a healthy family, spiritual stuff, etc. I said well for the next month or 2, I'd like a housekeeper and cook! If I can make it into my second trimester I should be good until at least the baby comes. :) My friend Tanya said that they always budgeted more money for eating out when she was pregnant for the first few months. I'd have to second that! Kurt has been pretty good about picking up some of my slack, at least on the cooking front.

In other news, since I don't have pictures to post yet. The weekend before last we had beautiful weather! Like 70-80 degrees. We decided to spend a day at the beach. So we started out Saturday morning with a picnic in Santa Cruz and then stopping by Marianne's for ice cream. 2AM Truffle is my favorite! Vanilla ice cream with fudge and berry sauce swirled throughout. The Brownie ice cream is good too, with huge chunks of yummy homemade brownies. We then drove up Highway 1 and stopped along a nice beach. Kurt and Logan hiked down the beach to find some tide pools, while I snuggled up with a blankie and took a nap. SOOO nice! Afterwards we drove up to Half Moon Bay and had dinner at our favorite place--Barbara's Fish Trap. I'm not a seafood person, but I LOVE their chowder. It was a nice day and Kurt took some pictures we'll have to post later.

This last Friday-Saturday Kurt took the YM, well 3 Deacons camping at Rock City Campground in Mt. Diablo State Park. He said they had a lot of fun, stayed up way too late talking about computers. I stayed home snuggled up with a blankie once again and watch Pride & Prejudice. :) After Kurt got home I rushed him to hurry and get cleaned up so we could go to a BBQ. Saturday was my friend Ricelli's birthday and they were making yummy delicious Brazilian BBQ! In case you were wondering she is in fact Brazilian, so everything was the real deal. Delicious! and definitely hit the spot in my pregnant tummy. We had a great after visiting with friends and relaxing.

So, this post is getting pretty long and since there aren't any pictures, not sure how many people are still reading, so I think I'll stop and eat some lunch! Blogs to look forward to this week: Grandma & Grandpa coming to visit, trip to the Oakland Zoo, Stake Primary Leadership Meeting, and Kurt's birthday at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom!
