And we're outta here!

Logan and I are heading over to my mom's house (Cameron Park) to escape the heat for a couple days. You may thinking WHAT! You're going to the Sacramento area to get away from the heat? Well, when it's forecasted to be over 100 degrees and you don't have air conditioning...yes! My little accuweather.com thing on my computer says its supposed to be 102 tomorrow in Union City! For those of you unfamiliar with Union City, we usually peak at around 80 even during the summer thus not warranting an air conditioner. (See weather averages) We pretty much live in heaven 95% of the time. Every so often we get a heat wave, when I was pregnant with Logan for example that is no fun! Last year we bought an used window A/C for our living room off Craigslist, but only used it once. Kurt installed it last night, and I told him he may want to sleep in the living room!

Besides escaping the heat, I do have a few other fun things planned! My friend Melanie is having a baby and her family is throwing a baby shower for her Friday night! I haven't seen here since her wedding reception last Spring, and then a long time before that. So it should be a lot of fun to catch up and visit. I also have plans with a few other friends in the works...but they've never seemed to work out in the past, so we'll see. Logan is super excited to play with his cousins and Grandma (me too!).

We're also planning to take Elder Keyser out to lunch on Saturday. He's supposed to let us know Sat morning if he got permission from his mission president, but didn't think it was going to be a problem. We were able to talk to him last Sunday (Mother's Day) for quite a while. He's on fire! He's already had a baptism and have several more scheduled!

Nick is serving in the California Roseville Mission. Right now he's in Citrus Heights which is about 25 minutes from my mom's house.
