Memorial Day

Kurt originally wanted to spend the day at the beach...but I suggested we do something that we haven't done before. After a little discussion, we decided to go to the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose

It was a litt
le more crowded than I would have liked (I'm sure because it was Memorial Day), but we still had a lot of fun! Logan loved all of the cool toys he had to play with. I think Kurt equally loved the fun toys, but he was the man with the camera...so he won't be pictured in this blog.
During the next few months they are having a special Alice's Wonderland exhibit. It was full of lots of bright colors and optical illusions.
Pictured below: Logan in "Bubbalogna". The bubble area was pretty cool, but a little messy. I think it would have been more fun if Logan was just a little bit older.
Upstairs that had a whole section especially for the little ones (which I might note was nice, because you have to pay for kids age 1 and up). One large room was devoted to kids age 4 and under. They had a story/singing time, imagination area, sand box, cool foam building blocks, and lots of other exhibits catered to shorter kids. They even had an infant "crawling" room for kids 1 and under.
After the museum we had planned to head over to Japantown for some Hawaiian Shaved Ice and Mochi, but sadly most of the stores were closed. :( We'll have to make a special trip down sometime. However, not all was wasted...a Japanese market was open, so we were able to grab some much needed supplies.

We then headed home because it was Logan's naptime (ok maybe mine too...). While we were sleeping Kurt decided to take his new bike out for a ride. He ended up riding 10 1/2 miles! He probably would have been gone longer had I not called him to tell him Logan was awake. We ended our Memorial Monday by going out to a Mexican restaurant for dinner and then coming home and watching Juno.

That looks fun. We will have to check it out. We also stumbled across the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Old Sausalito.http://www.baykidsmuseum.org/

Kurt & I both really liked Juno, just wished the language would have been a little cleaner...
