Sunny Day in Half Moon Bay

Saturday afternoon we headed to Poplar Beach in Half Moon Bay. The weather was BEAUTIFUL! We left 90 degree weather, only to find it sunny and 75 in Half Moon Bay. We could not have asked for more beautiful weather. However, we could have asked for a happier, more cooperative little boy. When Kurt decided to take Logan out to see the waves, Logan grabbed on to Kurt with a death grip and dug his head into his daddy's shoulder. Kurt made several attempts only to get the same reaction out of Logan. We even moved our beach mats and sand toys just a little closer to the ocean hoping Logan "would get used to it"; but no such luck.
Logan running away from the ocean. I sure hope things go a little better in Maui! If not, I guess we'll be spending a lot of time in the pool.
After the beach, we met my friend Ricelli and her husband Michael for dinner at Mezza Luna. It was only our second time there, but we have yet to be disappointed. If you are in Half Moon Bay and want a restaurant with options other than seafood, I highly recommend Mezza Luna. (If you like seafood, they have tons of Italian seafood dishes...)
After dinner, we stopped by the Fitzgerald Marine Preserve. Low tide was at 7am, but we decided to stop by anyway. It was a little chilly, so we put Logan in overalls and a sweater. Once he was warm he LOVED the tide pools. He found some crabs, fish, and a few other cool things. He and Kurt found some pretty shells to bring home.

I miss living near the beach. Half Moon Bay is gorgeous! I will have to check out that restaurant the next time we go there.
