Maui Days 1-2

Day #1
Tuesday, July 1st:
*BART ride to SFO, took a little longer than anticipated but we made it to our flight. I do have to mention that we were really disappointed by United Airlines customer service people. The desk people were WAY slow and we weren't even to Hawaii yet.
*After a layover at LAX, finally arrived in Maui at 9:24pm Hawaiian time (past midnight in CA). Pretty sure Ashley Tisdale from the Disney Channel was on our flight. If not she has a look a like that lives in the LA area, flies first class and carries a Coach bag.
*Switched to a 2nd rental car--Pontiac Vibe, Noah & Anissa had to switch to a 2nd van because a head rest fell off...
*FINALLY arrived at the Maui Kaanapali Villas about 11:30ish Hawaiian time. The front desk people didn't have our names listed, so Noah had to call his friend and wake him up. After a while we were finally checked in!
*Then BEDTIME!

Day #2
Wednesday, July 2nd
*Kids woke up WAY too early--still on California time. Noah, Anissa, Mom, and girls headed back to Walmart and Costco to buy some food & supplies for us.
*Meanwhile we headed to the beach around 8am. We're just a short walk from Kaanapali Beach. It's beautiful! and since it was still early there weren't very many people around. Logan took a few steps in the waves and then freaked out. We'll have to try again. Kurt enjoyed the swimming and I enjoyed the light rain falling while I held Logan.
*We decided to cut the beach time short and head to the pool. It is AWESOME! Noah did the engineering work for it (his client owns the condo we're staying in). It has a bridge, little waterfalls, kiddie pool, hot tub, and tons of regular swimming room. At night they light teekie torches all around the pool.

*After showering, we took a short drive North to see what was around...not to much. Quite a bit of dry farmland. However, we did find some cool snorkeling places. Kurt & Noah might check it out Saturday morning while we're shopping.
*We then headed to Lahaina--bought some new sunglasses, ate icecream, and walked around the shops on Front Street.
*Then back to the condo for dinner and more swimming!
