Week 24 Update

Well, we're FOR SURE having a GIRL. Doris (my midwife) wanted to do another ultrasound today. Come to think of it, I think I've had an ultrasound at almost every appointment, if not all. It was very clear that we are having a "Kelsie". I can put any worries about the little pink and purple outfits I've already purchased aside. Doris said everything is looking great and that the weeks will fly by from here on out (I hope!)(You may have to click on the ultrasounds to get a bigger view.)

Logan really enjoyed this visit and was excited to see "Baby Kelsie". While we were waiting he had fun pointing to all of the posters of the babies. This next week sometime I have to go take the dreaded glucose test. The drink really doesn't bother me, I'm just worried that my levels will be high and I will have to say bye-bye to my ice cream.

She's also now has caught up with an ear of corn in size and gained about 1/4 pound since last week. (Length: almost a foot.) I'm guess this is why I've felt a lot bigger lately. I at least know that I am for sure already bigger than I was with Logan at the same point (or I just started out heavier....which may also have been the case). Despite the complaining, I have been feeling pretty well. I still get tired, especially in the afternoons...but that is about it.

Yeehaw for the confirmation of a girl!!! I also worried about the glucose test. When I took it I tried to cheat by eating lots of protein until an hour before the test hoping that would make me less likely to have it. I don't know if it made a difference at all, but I was within the limit.

How exciting! Have fun getting ready for a baby girl. They're so fun! I wouldn't know about baby boys, so I can't compare, but I DO know about baby girls!!!
