29 Weeks...and the beginning of the END

Well, I'm officially entering my 3rd Trimester this week. This pregnancy has gone by really fast, but I probably just cursed myself for saying so... I finally went it in for the dreaded glucose test this morning. The orange sugary drink really doesn't bother me, I just don't want to have to do the 3-hour test or be put on a strict diet. With Logan my first test was borderline...so after we moved to California I had to do the 3-hour test and it was awful! I thought I was going to pass out after fasting for that long. My only hope is that since I've only gained 9 pounds this pregnancy so far (according to my midwife--I FEEL a lot bigger), that I won't have to worry about gestational diabetes. If you are diabetic isn't the baby supposed to be a lot bigger faster? I should have the results this evening and they'll call me if I need to have further testing or have low iron levels.

Other that, everything seems to be going great. Kelsie is VERY active and other than being tired, I have relatively little discomfort (as of now...ask me again next month :)) I do have what I like to call "upper-butt" pains...but that's about it. Logan & I fly out to Utah in the morning and will be there until Saturday afternoon. Friday night my mother-in-law is throwing me a baby shower in Heber. If you haven't received an invite and would like to come let me know and I can send you the details! I had a hard time remembering who was actually still in Utah and who has moved. I'd love to get together and visit!

I know how you feel about the 3 hour test. I passed out after the 1 hour test, and failed both tests. So I had to start taking an Iron supplement, and do the 3-hour test. I think that is the worst part of pregnancy!

You must be so excited to be closer to finally meeting Kelsie. I think that Kelsie is such a cute name. I'm glad that your pregnancy is going fast. I hope that you have fun in Utah.

I have been told as a person with diabetes the babies do come big, unless they induce you early for the sake of the mother. I hope your results come out fine. Knowing you well enough, I am sure you have taken fantastic care of yourself! If only all women could have it as easy as you in the "easy" pregnancy department! I am still so excited for you and this new little addition to y'all's lives!

9 pounds!?? What the heck - you are eating, right? I'm just jealous - I gained over 30 pounds with both boys.

I think I gained 9 pounds the first DAY I found out I was pregnant! :)

You do look great, by the way!
