So Logan has been truly spoiled this year! This little boy has had not 1, not 2, not 3, BUT 4 birthday celebrations!
1. Labor Day Weekend at the Train Museum with the Smith cousins
2. A week of airplanes and an airplane quilt from Grandma & Grandpa Keyser in Utah

3. His ACTUAL Birthday (yesterday). Our friends the Fairbanks invited us over for dinner after Stake Conference a couple weeks ago. Not having a calendar in front of me...it sounded great...then a few days before I realized that it was Logan's birthday! We decided to continue on with the set plans and celebrate on Monday night for Family Home Evening. After conference someone in the stake was giving away a car load of day old breads, donuts, and angel food cakes from Safeway. We snatched an angel food cake and Kurt had fun making a lemon glaze for it. We decided to take it over to the Fairbanks house with us. (Now that Kurt knows how easy it was to make the frosting, he plans to make it for more often!)

Teresa made some delicious homemade icecream for dessert. She pulled out some candles and Logan was able to blow out some candles on his actual birthday. :) Logan LOVED playing with Gavin, Emma, Madeline, Sabrina, & Max! We adults set up a table outside so we could play Puerto Rico and let the kids play. Logan LOVED this scooter/bike thing they had.
Once we got home Grandma Smith called on Skype to wish Logan a happy birthday. We also decided to let Logan open his presents from us so she could watch.

Logan LOVED his new train set and has been playing with it since he laid eyes on it!
4. We originally were planning a party for tonight with some friends, but last night both Kurt & I felt like we were getting sick (I think it ended up being dreaded allergies), so we canceled those plans and decided to just hang out the 3 of us. Not that we needed more sugar, but I had my heart set on making Logan his train cake. I followed
this recipe with a few modifications...since it was just us I opted to not make it as fancy. Logan was excited for this Train Cake and kept giving me a thumbs up as I was decorating it. :)

Also today, Logan had his 2 year old well-check visit with Dr. Crook.
Here are the stats:
- Weight- 23 lb. 9 oz. (5th percentile)
- Head Circumference- 50.2 cm (86th percentile)
- Height- 2' 9.75" (33rd percentile)

Happy Birthday Logan! The train cake looks awesome, good job!
We like Dr. Crook, too! Nice job on the frosting, Kurt, you look like a pro in the kitchen. The cake turned out super-cute, Rachel!
