Woohoo I passed the dreaded glucose test (as long as I read the results right). :) My iron levels and whatever else they checked seem to be in the "normal" category as well. Yeah!
Also, I'm hoping little Kelsie will be different since I should know a little more what I am doing...but Logan's first 9 weeks of life were WAY worse than the 9 months it took to bake him. (So I do believe everything evens out.) We had tons of nursing issues and he wouldn't gain weight on top of it. (He was born a week late and only weighed 6lb.2oz) I won't go into graphic details of the experience, but there was a lot of pain involved. I would nurse him, then have to pump for 10 minutes on each side, feed him the pumped milk, and then start the process all over again. He wasn't allowed to sleep more than 3 hours even during the night. The extra milk didn't help that much, so soon we had to begin supplementing him with formula after his nursing sessions...not fun.

Ugh, is nursing a newborn ever easy? I remember at 2 weeks old I was telling Shane we'd be lucky if I stuck with nursing for 2 months. Eventually, it got better, as I'm sure it did with Logan too. But my guess is that with number 2 it will be MUCH easier. Just keep thinking that =).
Yes, you will have an easier time with Kelsie because you will be a lot more comfortable with the whole being a mom thing. Even though I'm only a couple of weeks into being a second time mom, I can tell you it is much easier, not because I think she is a better baby, but because I am a lot more confident this time around. Glad you made it to Utah -- Have a fun week!
Yuck...you're more patient than me! I would have done the formula soon after all that drama! Hee! I couldn't breastfeed Orion and I felt so guilty at first for not being able to. Now, I look back and think that formula is a blessing from God and I LOVE IT!! :-)
