Small Steps

Today was Logan's first day of "Small Steps". It's kind of a mommy and me pre-preschool that Union City offers to toddlers 2-3 years old. Since Logan only turned 2 on Sunday, I'm pretty sure he's the youngest in the class. :) I really wanted to get Logan into a mommy & me gymnastics class, but with the crazy summer we had along with the pregnancy, I pretty much dropped the ball on that one! So when my friend Cherisse told me about "Small Steps" I was pretty excited. The program meets once a week until November 4th from 10-11am.

When we arrived today we had 15 minutes of playtime--Logan of course played with all the trucks. Then 15 minutes of circle time with singing and story time. Then 15 minutes or so of activity time--Logan made the project he's holding in the picture above. Followed by 10 minutes or so of additional playtime. Logan wanted to try out the playdough this time. We made some colorful spaghetti. Last, was snack time. Then had Logan's favorite--cheese stick and juice. He even nibbled on a few carrots.

Is it just me or does Logan suddenly look like a "big boy" now? Sounds like a fun class! I'm happy he got to have cheese on the first day -- I know how much he loves it!
