Is Proposition 8 Really Discrimination?

Establishing a definition for marriage as between a man and woman doesn't amount to discrimination. In fact, the real discrimination is in the codified laws of the US (Note: CA offers same rights to both marriages and civil unions, federal law does not). I want to be clear on this: Black is NOT White and Gay is NOT Straight. They both deserve equal rights, but they're not "the same".

Discrimination would be changing the definition of an entire group of people to be what it is not. The definition of "White" was not changed to include "discriminated" races, the discriminatory codified laws were changed!

Protect the definition of this unique segment of society - vote Yes on 8. Provide rights to other unions by changing the laws that discriminate unfairly and unjustly in favor of marriage. It isn't on the ballot this year, but Prop 8 doesn't prevent it from being on the ballot the next time around!
