Saturday night we hosted a Christmas party with a few families from our ward along with my brother's family. We had a lot of fun! We gathered and ate some yummy soup and appetizers, before going Christmas caroling around our neighborhood. The first home we stopped at was Dieter & Barbara's (our German neighbors we know best). After they heard our beautiful version of Jingle Bells :), Barbara gave each of the kids a little kitkat bar. We left them with some goodies and invitation to attend our ward Christmas Sacrament meeting next Sunday. At the next house apparently my niece Aubrey and some of the kids thought we were trick or treating not caroling and held their hands out for some more candy. :)
After we returned to the house, Noa read "The Night Before Christmas" to the kids in hopes of mellowing them out a little. (Anissa brought this really cool pop-up version of the book!)
Shortly, after the story was finished we had a surprise visitor - SANTA CLAUS!!!!
The kids were surprised to say the least. Each kid took their turn sitting on Santa's lap and telling them their Christmas wishes.
Logan told Santa he wanted a remote control airplane, a train, and a T-Rex dinosaur. He also went and grabbed Santa a reindeer cookie. It was really cute. Kelsie just looked at him...
After Santa left we indulged in some yummy treats and spent a little more time visiting.
