Goals for the New Year

  1. Stick to the exercise plan Kurt and I started.
  2. Own a house again by the end of the year. AND I do mean by the END of the year. We don't think we'll move until November-Decemberish. We are also looking heavily into Scotts Valley.
  3. Have Logan fully potty-trained.
  4. De-clutter my home. Say goodbye to stuff I've been holding onto for a long time.
  5. Catch up all of my scrapbooking and organize all supplies so I can find what I want easier.
Our ward is also starting a "University of Excellence" Program - so here are a few goals I plan to complete from that.
  1. Organize your recipe file.
  2. Learn to make 3 new items from scratch.
  3. Make a jam or jelly.
  4. Plan a weekly menu in advance for four weeks and follow it as nearly as possible.
  5. Sew an article of clothing for you or someone else.
  6. Catch up on all your mending.
  7. Finish 3 unfinished projects.
  8. Make a design notebook: fill it with pictures and color schemes from magazines with ideas that you like.
  9. Learn to use a power tool.
  10. Spend 15 minutes a day reading to yourself, child, or friend for 2 weeks.
  11. Write one letter a week for 6 weeks to a family member, friend, or missionary.
  12. Hike a mountain path with your family.
  13. Attend a professional sporting event.
  14. Travel to another town and visit a historical site.
  15. Re-learn the first 5 presidents in order and their major accomplishments.
  16. Plan and take one weekend or day out of town with just your husband or a close friend.
  17. Be consciously and openly more affectionate to your husband for 2 weeks, and see how it affects your relationship with each other.
  18. Send someone a thank you once a week for a month.
  19. Organize your filing system.
