Tonight my friend Cherisse (with the help of some others of course!) and I threw a baby shower for my good friend
Tanya. She already has 2 adorable girls, but will now be having a new little GUY within a couple weeks. We decided to have a "sports" theme baby shower complete with hot dogs, popcorn, 7-layer dip, chips, etc. I made a basketball cake that I think turned out pretty good. It was a 3-layer checkerboard cake. I made the inside brown & blue checkerboard, but forgot to take a picture of it. :)
We played some fun games and Tanya was hooked up! I think we had about 30 people from our ward show up. Her mom Marlis is one of the most creative people I know--she gave Tanya a tropical theme baby basket. She even threw in a pineapple because she thought it needed one!
Overall, the shower was a lot of fun, and we can't wait to meet little Dietrich Tu'itavuki soon!
