Oahu - Day Six

We started off the day by visiting the BYU-Hawaii campus. I wanted to buy a few souvenirs and Nancy wanted to stop by and visit a friend from Heber that is attending BYUH. After eating a quick lunch we were off to the Polynesian Cultural Center. Our friend (ELDER) Pablo Gariando is a tour guide there, so he was able to hook us up with half price tickets. Elder Gariando served in our ward in Union City while Kurt's brother Nick was living with us (prior to his mission). He spent quite a bit of time at our house and we became friends. Now he's the "Sexy Pablo" hunting all over Hawaii for the perfect lady. :) He is a crack up!
Craig wasn't feel well again, so Kurt, Nancy, and me went by ourselves. We really enjoyed our day! The Samoan & Tongan displays were hilarious. It's amazing how many students the PCC is able to employ. I kept thinking all day that so many of these employees could not afford to be here without the PCC. Laie just doesn't have the economy to support them
After seeing all of the displays it was time for the luau and night show. The luau was delicious and Kurt ate more than his share of Poke.

We were very excited the new night show - Ha: The Breathe of Life. It started in January, so it really is super new. However, the reason we were so excited to see it was because Jason, Kurt's younger brother, worked on the animation portion. It really added to the show and he did an amazing job. He currently is a Senior in BYU's animation program.
