Sulphur Creek Nature Center

Today we took the kids on a field trip to the Sulpher Creek Nature Center in Hayward for preschool. Logan loved running from cage to cage to see the different animals they had. (Above he is standing in front of some owls, but they are hard to see.) Most the animals at the center are native to the area. The Center is actually a wildlife education and rehabilitation facility. Many of the animals had been injured and some point and could no longer live in the wild.
Inside they had displays that Logan also loved. He wanted to have his picture taken with the snakes.
One of the workers first brought out a little one winged bat that the kids thought was cool. She then brought out a pond turtle that they were able to touch and see up close.
Kelsie especially loved the turtle and kept trying to grab at it. I need to keep an eye on that one! She's pretty crazy.
