Housing Update

We've seen a handful of houses we weren't interested in. We found another amazing one we are interested in seeing (3800 sq feet!), but they just raised their asking price out of our range...so we're going to watch it because I'm sure if they don't get a buyer soon they'll be dropping the price again. The house looks vacant, so I have a feeling they want to sell it sooner rather than later.

About the short sale (Boulder Creek House we still love) - the owners are getting the last of their paperwork into the bank. AND the bank is actually working on their file. I see this as a VERY good sign. I've heard about a ton of situations where the bank isn't doing a thing. Also our Realtor also said that in April they passed a law stating that banks had 45 days to notify the buyers whether their offer was accepted or not. If the bank follows the new law, we should know SOMETHING in 2 weeks. However, chances are we won't. They banks are so backlogged I'm sure it will take them a while to catch up.

We're heading out to Utah in the morning to visit with Kurt's family. Hopefully while we're gone we'll hear something about the Boulder Creek house or something new will come on the market. It seems like houses have been slow to come on lately.
