Mothers Day, Houses, and other Random Thoughts

I don't really have a "reason" for blogging, so I am sure this post will be pretty random. Kurt took this picture of me and Kelsie on Mother's Day (Logan wouldn't cooperate nearly as well. If you click on the picture you might be able to see Kelsie's black eye. It's looking better.). My Sunday was wonderful. Kurt didn't have to attend his morning meetings so we made yummy pancakes and eggs and got ready for church. After church we drove to Brentwood for dinner. Noah & Kurt spoiled mom, Anissa, and I with a delicious dinner - Kinders Ball Tip roast, spinach salad, asparagus, bread, garlic mashed potatoes, icecream cake, and a "strawberry cloud" cake made AND cleaned up entirely by the 2 of them. The 3 of us just sat, relaxed, and visited. The kids had fun playing together as usual.

I bought myself a mother's day present a month or so ago, meaning I saw something I really wanted that wasn't in the budget. :) It's a cool magnetic chalkboard FHE chart from Deseret Book. I'll have to take a picture of it later.

In other news, nothing new about the house. We're still just waiting for the bank to figure things out. If I had someone living in a property I technically owned that wasn't paying the mortgage, I'd want to move them out as quickly as possible...but I guess that isn't how they work. We haven't seen any news houses that we'd be interested in seeing, so we're still just waiting. Luckily Logan has another year until he starts Kindergarten so we're not in a huge hurry, but it would be nice to enroll him in a preschool. Oh well. Maybe after Christmas?

I decided yesterday would be the day for Logan to have his own room. He kept coming into my room in the morning or in the middle of naptime saying Kelsie woke him up. He was cutting into my precious sleep and naptime. Not cool. Since he'll be getting his own room after we move, we decided to move him in early so he gets used to sleeping by himself. He gets scared pretty easily and has been having nightmares lately, so it might take a little bit of time. Although he has been doing a lot better than I thought. I'm very blessed that my kids are great little sleepers and nappers. I'm not sure if it's something we did as parents, or if its built in, but either way its GREAT! I'll take some pictures once things are more finished than they are right now. Kurt won't let me buy new bedlinens, etc. until after we move. He's afraid I'll decorate everything one color and then the new house will be a totally different color. I guess he has a valid point. Darn it.

Well, I think American Idol has finished downloading so I am going to go watch that now. I had a Relief Society meeting tonight, so I missed American Idol AND Lost. :(
