Beach Day!

Want to know my favorite thing about where I live?  My house is surrounded by tall gorgeous redwood trees...and I'm still only 40-45 minutes from the beach.  :)

Temps at our house have been a little cooler because of the shade from the redwoods, but it has been 70 degrees in the sunshine...in January... :)

So, when my friend Salina asked me if I wanted to head to Twin Lakes with her on Tuesday, I knew we had to go!  The kids had so much fun!  I didn't bring swimsuits...well, because it's January, but both kids still wanted to go in the water.  Logan went in the ocean several times by himself (up to his knees).  He seems to have gotten a lot braver since last summer.

Despite missing her nap, Kelsie was a blast.  She didn't mind the sand at all...even on her chicken nuggets or veggie straws.
