A few years ago my sister-in-law Anissa bought us the above book - "A Christ-Centered Easter". This year we really wanted to try to have a more spiritual Easter week, rather than just candy and eggs (although we did do that too!).
Palm Sunday - Kurt told the history behind Palm Sunday and the kids and the missionaries went on an Easter hike. They collected palm (or redwood) branches, a thorn, a rock, and a piece of wood and discussed the significance of each.
Monday - For FHE, using the Gospel Art kit we talked about the events leading up to Easter.
Tuesday...Kurt had a Bishopric meeting. :)
Wednesday - We talked about Jesus' teaching and parables. We acted out the parable of the Ten Virgins using flashlights.
Thursday - We had our "Last Supper" consisting of fish, unleavened bread, grapes, oranges, raw carrots, and grape juice.
Friday - we dyed our Easter eggs.
Saturday - We made Easter Story Cookies that were pretty cool! Also, had our Easter Egg Hunt.
Sunday morning - The oven door was opened and our "empty" cookies were ready for eating.
