Life as of Late

The kids are tucked in for the night and there is an awesome thunderstorm outside.  We turned off the fans and A/C so we could just sit and listen to the rain.  I admit, it's making Kurt and I even a little more homesick for Boulder Creek...but we'll be there soon enough!

Tomorrow is Logan and Kelsie's last day of school before Summer break.  They will have 6 weeks off from school, 3 of which will be spent in the U.S.  I can't wait!  We'll be spending one week in Utah visiting Kurt's family.  We'll get to see his entire family, except Nick who was unable to get off from work.  It will be a little family reunion!  The kids haven't seen their Utah cousins in almost 20 months...and we haven't even met little Leif (he was born a few weeks after Avri).  After Utah, we'll be spending two weeks at our home in Boulder Creek.  We have a laundry list of items to do to prep our house for our move back to California this Fall - I am most excited for the installation of our new granite counter tops!  We also will be spending a couple days in San Francisco.  We bought the SF City Passes - so we'll be visiting the Exploratorium, CA Academy of Sciences, the Monterey Aquarium, riding trolley cars, and taking a Bay Cruise.  Fun!

In the meantime, we have a pretty busy 2 weeks ahead!  All three kids had a nasty stomach bug this week.  The girls recovered pretty fast, but it lingered a little longer with Logan.  Logan missed 3 of his 4 days of school this week. :(

Modeling has also picked up again - its Fall/Winter catalog season. It seems like we've been going to more auditions than jobs lately, but sometimes that is how things go.  Kelsie did a really cute shoot last week for Felissimo Anone and one for Milk Magazine on Tuesday.  Logan will be doing a shoot for Milk Magazine tomorrow afternoon.  I'm kind of excited that they'll be in the same magazine, even if it isn't together.

In Avri news, she is quite the walker now!  Not running yet, but definitely walking over the place.  Kurt's dad calls her a "drunken sailor". lol  We're still trying to get her on a good sleep schedule.  She was awesome when she was first born, but after about 6 months it went down hill.

And on that note, I am going to bed so I can function tomorrow!
