Carmel Trip

I'm gonna narrate this in super-speedy style cuz I don't have much time and I'm not in the mood to write a ton about it. - Kurt

First off, we made the trip down after work on Wed. Yay. Long drive, some traffic. Mom and Dad decided to visit Gilroy. We told them there's nothing there to see. They confirmed that fact. For themselves.

Unpacked our stuff after buying some firewood that we didn't end up using. Hotel was sweet - In Pacific Grove, called Deer Haven Inn. It was once a condo complex. It's now a sweet hotel with full home effects. Living, Dining, Kitchen, 2 bedrooms. The works.

Ate at Old Fisherman's Grotto. Our favourite. Had tons of clam chowder on the wharf - everyone gives it out to lure you in.

Beds were supper hard, but very therapeutic. 2 inches taller next day; perfect for this:

Point Lobos Nature Preserve. Lots of cool stuff. Google it. You'll be impressed. The pictures are impressive too.

Of course, we had to take Mom and Dad to Pebble Beach off Ocean Avenue in Carmel. It's our favourite beach in the North Coast. White sand, calm waters, few people, pleasant weather. it was awesome. Kelsie ate sand, Mom and Kurt took a walk to the tide pools to see the crabs. Great times.
