Over the past few months Logan has turned from a toddler to a full-blown little boy. He is talking up a storm and surprises us everyday with new words. His latest new word is "features".
Very seriously Logan showed me his dragonfly (he has a bucket of real-looking plastic bugs).
Logan: "This dragonfly has lots of features!"
Me: "Oh really? What kind of features does it have?"
Logan: (paraphrasing) "It has wings that fly really fast and these red eyes, and....."
Since then he's been pointing out the different features on his dinosaurs.
*The brontosaurus has a long neck because he leaves leaves and has to pick them from the trees.
*The T-Rex has sharp teeth because he eats meat.
Logan also has a strong desire to read. He is starting to sound out different words and trying to guess what the word is. I made him an alphabet book earlier this year that he has been loving to try to read. He often points out what letter a word starts with. Yesterday I got a big laugh at the park. He made a new friend and the boy's mom has Logan what his name was. His response,
"My name is Logan, and it starts with an "L"!"
