Rachel's First Sushi

Last Saturday, Rachel and I went on a date to Kioku Sushi (our favorite, close, affordable sushiya). I ordered a couple of small rolls and a rainbow roll. They came before Rachel's teriyaki beef dinner. As I was preparing it, she commented on how pretty it looked and that she might want to try it if it didn't have the fish on it. I said I could take it off and she agreed to give a piece a try! She ate it and said that while she didn't think she would ever crave it, it was ok. Not disgusting as she thought it would be but nothing super special, in her opinion.

It's a start. I figure, one piece each time, pretty soon, she'll like it just fine. It can take some people a while to really get a taste for sushi. I was a love at first bite kind of guy, but some take time.

Way to go Rachel!
