Our "Big" Girl!

This morning we took Avri to the Doctor.  She hadn't been to the doctor since she was 5 months (she's now 9), so it was about time. :)  We learned that she is 6kg (approximately 13 pounds).  She is a TINY little thing.  The doctor was a little concerned, but we've been through this before with Logan.  For some reason, no matter how much they eat, they don't gain weight.

Avri eats rice cereal or oatmeal with apple juice for breakfast, a jar of baby food and snacks for lunch, a jar of baby food and snacks for dinner, in addition to being nursed every 2-3 hours.  I'd be worried if she wasn't spot on developmentally, but she is.  She crawls, pulls her self up, in starting to trying to walk between things, has 3 teeth, etc.

This particular morning was the very first time she pulled herself up in her crib.  She was screaming bloody murder as she woke up from her nap, but when I opened the door I was surprised by this little cutie!

Another thing to note - the doctor mentioned that she has a heart murmur, but he wasn't concerned...He things she'll grow out of it.  I'm sure she will, but it scared me a little bit with the numerous heart problems in my family.
