What a busy and fun-filled weekend! Friday afternoon my mom drove over to our house and was nice enough to spend the first night of her visit babysitting Logan for us. :) Kurt & I were able to attend the Oakland Temple with some friends from our ward and have dinner in the Temple cafeteria. You may be thinking YUCK! However, on Friday nights the Temple serves
Prime Rib for
$8.99/person!
Saturday morning we packed some lunches and headed over to Tilden

Park. It was a beautiful Spring Day. We drove around some areas of the park we hadn't been to yet and then settled in at the Little Farm. Logan of course LOVED the animals as usual. Noah, Anissa, and the girls then showed up just in time for lunch. After eating we drove over to the Steam Trains. Unfortunately at that point it was definitely past Logan's naptime...so we was grumpy and dug his head into his papa's chest the entire train ride.

Sadly, naptime was only about 40 minutes long (from Tilden Park to Union City)...our next stop was to the theatre to see "Horton Hears a Who". It was the first movie I'd see in almost a year! Logan LOVED it. It kept his attention the entire time. Then onto a yummy dinner at Applebees! We ended the evening at home with strawberry shortcake in celebration of my Mom's birthday. She also opened her presents which included a webcam from us (now we can see her on skype!)
