My nieces woke up so early Sunday morning that the Easter bunny was still hiding all of the baskets and eggs! So Ashlyn & Autumn had to be a little patient. We even made they eat breakfast first-how mean! We actually figured with all of the candy and toys they would have skipped breakfast, and that wouldn't have been a good thing. Anyways, after breakfast we headed outside to see what the Easter Bunny brought us.Logan didn't understand what to do at first, but quickly got the hang of it. He'd throw all of the eggs in his basket, even the hard-boiled ones. His first basket we found had a couple cars and an airplane in it...that probably was a mistake because of course that
is all that he wanted! (my family hides the Easter baskets too) Between all of the baskets Logan ended up with 2 cars, an airplane, crayons, a couple books, pop gun, duck, t-shirt from Grandma Smith ("What happens at Grandma's, Stays at Grandma's"), a coloring book and cute outfit from Grandma & Grandpa Keyser, a new cell phone, and plenty of other goodies and candy. Which sadly I haven't given him any of yet. :) I am such a mean mom! Maybe today? I received some cool scrapbooking books and tons of candy; while Kurt was excited to see the movie August Rush and Peeps in his basket. After we settled down from sugar rush and were dressed in our Sunday best, we went to church. Our ward put together a wonderful Sacrament meeting full of music and readings. They asked me to read the part of Mary Magdalene. I was very happy to participate. I love when we have musical Sacrament meetings, particularly during holidays. It always seems to invite the Spirit in just a little more strongly. Maybe its just me? Logan once again was a champ in Nursery, in fact he didn't want to leave. After church we decided to take a few pictures at the duck pond next to our church.
