Pretty much if you have something you don't want anymore you can offer it to someone else OR you can put a notice out that you are looking for something in particular. Consider it like the "Free" section on Craigslist.
I signed up about a week ago and tried to get a number of things that others snatched up before me! But last night I scored a present for Logan (he was super excited on our way to pick it up and he didn't even know what he was getting). I've been wanting to get Logan the foam letters pictured above for some time and never got around to it and lo and behold there was someone offering them for free!
I also offered a pink baby book that I won't be using (I received 3 as gifts with Kelsie). Within minutes I had 2 offers to pick it up. I left it outside on the porch for pickup at 4:30pm and it was magically gone shortly after. I didn't even have to meet the lady.
Freecycle.org is amazing!

I'm a big time user of Freecycle around here. I'm actually a moderator on one of the groups too. We got a Canon Rebel about 2 weeks ago-it was brand new, with 2 brand new lenses off of it-I LOVE it! Most of Bailey's clothes are from FreeCycle :) I find the best stuff, I love it :)
