Top 10 Events of 2009
#10 – Days at the beach! Our favorite thing about living in the Bay Area! Half Moon Bay, Monterey, & Carmel. Tide pools, bonfires, sand castles, seafood.
#9 – Girls’ trip to see Wicked! Kurt surprised Rachel with tickets for her birthday. (What an awesome husband!) SF shopping, lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, and then onto the theater!
#8 - Keyser Family Reunion and trip home. Had a wonderful week visiting in Utah with family and friends. On our way home we were swarmed with mosquitoes while adjusting the roof rack, broke the garage door driving into garage with said roof rack, and were welcomed home to a house covered in inch thick construction dust. Lovely.
#7 – Quick trip to surprise Grandpa Keyser (Kurt’s dad) for his birthday. Cheap Southwest Airlines tickets and Logan yelling SURPRISE at midnight!
#6 – Disney Cars, Princess, and 30th Birthday parties. If you need help planning a birthday party, Logan is becoming quite the party planner.
#5 – “Camping” trip with the Smith & Hunter families (Rachel’s side). Spent Labor Day weekend in Clarks Fork, Pinecrest, Sonora, & Columbia.
#4 – A year of firsts with Kelsie – first foods, words, popsicle (Thanks Grandpa!), teeth, steps…She is our big blue-eyed beauty. I’ve never met a happier little girl.
#3 – Kurt & Rachel’s first trip WITHOUT kids ever! Spent 4 days along California’s central coast relaxing and seeing the sights. (Thanks again Noah & Anissa for making it possible!)
#2 - First family trip to Disneyland. 3 days of bliss. Logan’s face when he met the characters was priceless!
#1 - Kurt still having a job! With the current economic conditions we have been so blessed that VMware has been doing so well. It’s not always easy, but Kurt loves his job. He currently works as an XML Tools Developer in the Technical Publications Division.
