We started off 2010 with yummy french toast made by Kurt's dad. Ryan, Rachelle, Clint, & Dane also stayed the night, so it was fun having more time to visit. We packed and played until lunch and then went for a drive to Midway to see some elk that have decided to make it their winter home.
We then drove down to South Jordan to see Clint & Rachelle's new place. They live in a super cute brand new condo complete with garage. I wish I had her kitchen...
Then we made everyone (or invited) to come to dinner with us before we had to catch our flight. We went to Wingers of course. I think we have to go there during every visit to Utah. :) Their sauce is AMAZING!
We arrived to the airport in plenty of time, bags were 47 & 49 pounds each. Security wasn't that bad. We also found out of flight was over-booked...I really wanted to be bumped...they were offering $400/per ticket and a free nights stay at a hotel. Kurt wasn't that interested, but I totally would have done it! But, we didn't get picked. :(
So then plane we were supposed to fly on arrived 20-30 minutes late. By now the kids were getting tired (flight was supposed to leave at 7:45pm MST). Kelsie was going crazy before the flight even started...and it didn't get any better during the flight. Our seats were squished between to sets of families/kids hacking up their lungs. Lovely. The flight was bumpy and we had the hardest landing I'd had to quite some time. After we landed and were at the gate we sat FOREVER...with the air off. Apparently - they didn't line up the walkway up right. Another 10 minutes or so...
We finally got off the plane. Great. Our luggage took forever to come. My guess is at least 30 minutes after our plane landed. Our poor friend who picked us up had circle around forever and finally parked and came in. We didn't get home until about 11pm PST. :((I'll be adding pictures and text in the next couple days and post dating them if you care to hear about our trip. :) )

Wingers sauce is super easy to make... for every 4 tablespoons of brown sugar add 1 tablespoon of Frank's hot sauce, bring to a boil...stir constantly. Glad you had a good time, and glad you are home. Feels good doesn't it
