Logan's 4th Birthday Party

Yesterday we celebrated Logan's 4th Birthday since we were supposed to be moving around now....He (we) have made such great friends while living in Union City that I wanted to make sure he got to celebrate with them.

Logan asked me if he was "4" yet, and sadly I said no.  You're still "3" for a couple more weeks.  I explained to him why we were celebrating early.  He said, "Oh.  Like Andy!"  It took me a couple minutes to catch onto what he was saying, and then it clicked.  In the movie Toy Story, Andy has his birthday party early because his family was moving away. :)  My kid has an amazing memory.

The party overall was a huge success.  Logan had a great time.  Sadly, it was the second hottest day of the entire summer and I sweated like a pig.  (Most houses in the Bay Area don't have air conditioning)

First up, as the kids were arriving the kids colored some dinosaur pictures.

Next was Dino Freeze Dance!  I found these great Dinosaur hats at the Dollar Tree in Cameron Park.  The kids loved them.  Dinosaur song of choice - the 1980s classic, "Open the door, get on the floor...everybody walk the Dinosaur!"
The last game was Dinosaur Train Bingo.
Since the party was in the afternoon we fed the kids dinner (dinosaur nuggets, carrots, and grapes) and then got ready for ice cream and cupcakes!  Logan helped by putting the dinosaurs on the cupcakes that morning. He was so excited!

Logan of course loved all of his presents.  The cutest thing though was his reaction to his Woody and Buzz action figures he got from his Smith cousins - we had to get a permanent marker and write his name on the bottom of the foot...just like Andy. :)

How fun!

Bai picked a dinosaur cake for Dave's birthday. :) I wouldn't be surprised if she picked dinosaurs for her birthday!
