Easter Sunday

We had a pretty low key Easter this year.  We got home from our vacation Saturday evening just in time to leave out some carrots and water for the Easter Bunny.  Typically we go to church on Easter Sunday, but we got to watch General Conference instead.  Our ward will be celebrating Easter this coming weekend instead.  Saturday the kids will be having a Primary Picnic and Easter Egg hunt at Yoyogi Park.  They are pretty excited.  We're just hoping it doesn't rain (like it's forecasted).
The kids also received a special Easter package from their Grandma Smith. They loved it, but they'll have to love it for a while because I'm not sure when another one will be coming. lol  I'm sure she spent more on the shipping costs than the actual contents of the package.
The Easter bunny couldn't find any plastic eggs this year, so the kids hunted around the living room for good 'ol hard boiled eggs.  Good thing they LOVE eating hard boiled eggs.  Logan received a Bakugan (among a few other things) in his Easter basket.  Bakugans are his latest obsession.  He was SOO excited.

I didn't take any pictures of the food, but I made a YUMMY french toast casserole from a recipe I found on Pinterest.  It's a recipe you can only in good conscience eat once or twice a year...but it was good!

Sunday night our friend the Wightmans invited us over for Easter dinner.  The food was delicious - traditional US Easter cooking - spiral cut ham, mashed potatoes, cornbread, salad, etc.  Fumiko also invited her friends the Yoshimuras over.  Their youngest son is in Kelsie's yochien class.  It was nice meeting another family and being able to ask some questions since we're pretty clueless!
