Typhoon Guchol

I'm happy to report that we survived our first typhoon.  We broke out our lanterns in case the power went out, but it didn't even flicker.  Typhoons aren't rare in Japan, but apparently they are rare in the month of June.  The last time there was one in June was like 12 years ago.  One person died in the storm because a shed or something fell on him.  Mostly it was an inconvenience for those traveling via plane or train.  Kurt almost got stuck in Nagoya, but luckily he made it home before things got bad.  The bullet trains in particular can't run in the winds are bad.

That would be fun to watch if 1. You don't have to go outside, 2. You are confident your house will be ok! Looks crazy!
