Our sweet little Avri - a couple weeks ago Kurt had to start giving her methotrexate through shots, instead of grinding up the pills. :( The Doctor also increased her dosage. We're really hoping this medicine starts to help a little bit more, so that we don't have to escalate to the next set of medications. I also found out about a lady/friend in our ward who has also gone through the same medications as Avri for her own arthritis. I knew she got sick easily, but I never knew why.... She is currently taking the Biologics, which Avri will move onto if needed. Avri's next appointment is in a couple weeks.
We have been so blessed to be around good doctors--First at Primary Childrens in SLC and now Lucile Packard's Children Hospital at Stanford. I know we are where we are supposed to be and it is one of the reasons we were supposed to come back to the US when we did.
