Benefit of Modeling

So one huge benefit of doing this whole modeling thing with the kids is that we have and will be sent to places that we've never been before or might not have ever gone to...even if they don't end up getting the job. ;)

Last Monday, Logan had an audition at the Nippon TV station to do a music video commercial for one of their famous TV shows called World Ranking.  After seeing Kelsie, the guy in charge asked if she could audition too. :)  The kids went into the audition without us in the same room, which is rare.  It actually sounded like things went well (they were all laughing really loud and the kids had fun), but we found out yesterday that they didn't get the job.  Bummer.  I came up with a good analogy for the kids though.  The auditions are kind of like coloring crayons.  For example, when you color a picture you wouldn't normally color the sun purple.  It doesn't mean purple isn't a good color, it just might work better for grapes or a flower, etc.

Anyways, after the audition we noticed some huge gates that usually lead to a Buddhist Temple, so we decided to go on a little adventure.  Our adventure led us to the Zojoji Temple!

It was getting dark so it's hard to see but the temple was gorgeous. It was also awesome that the Tokyo Tower was RIGHT behind it.  We didn't even realize that we were that close...

Logan's pictures have been submitted for several jobs, so it will be fun to see what other adventures we'll have in Japan!  Kelsie's pictures haven't been submitted near as often, but Sofia (one of the agents) said that if she was 5cm taller we'd be turning down jobs left and right for her.  Interesting eh? Maybe next year is her year. ;)
